At Olton Primary we continually look for ways to achieve the Government’s target of providing the children with 5 hours a week of physical activity. We now run a physical activity club after school every night of the week.
Some of our clubs are taken by members of staff and the rest are run by qualified external providers. We have a number of school sports teams, which compete against other schools.
We also offer a wide range of activities after school, which cater for all interests and are run by members of staff – more information to follow.
Extra Curricular Clubs
We have been planning additional extracurricular clubs to offer to our children in the Summer term. Following the recent parent survey, this was also an area that parents highlighted as an aspect of school life that parents wanted to see developed further.
The full range of clubs that are on offer are shown below and letters for individual clubs have already started coming out to parents with others to follow. All of the clubs on offer have a maximum number and so places will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.
Clubs that are organised by external providers will have their own booking and payment procedures which are included in the letters sent out.
In addition to the clubs that are offered, through our Solihull Schools Sports Partnership Programme, different year groups also get the opportunity to participate in a range of sporting activities such as cheerleading, multi-sports, netball, football, tri-golf and cricket. We will continue to review the range of clubs that we have on offer so we can provide different opportunities that all of our children can enjoy.

After school Clubs Important Collection Notice
The main gate will now be closed after school hours at 3:30pm.
All After School Clubs will dismiss from the green gate adjacent to the car park, accessed via the walkway at the side of St. Margaret’s Pre-school.
Please can we politely remind Parents/Carers all contact with independent clubs will need to be via the Club Manager. This includes arrangements for early collections, collection changes and general queries. Thank you.
